2014 State of the State Address
About Andrew Farmer
Andrew Farmer is the State Representative for TN House District 17. He was first elected in 2012 to the Tennessee House of Representatives in 108th General Assembly. He shares the same conservative and family values as you. He is a native of Sevier County and a lifelong friend and neighbor of Jefferson County.
Andrew graduated from Sevier County High School. He attended East Tennessee State University where he received his Bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing. He graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, earning his Juris Doctorate with a concentration in international law. He completed his post graduate studies in Knoxville interning for the Supreme Court of the State of Tennessee and was soon admitted to practice law in Tennessee. Andrew returned home to the 17th district and started his solo-practice law firm and, a short time later, his second small business, a title company. He has real world experience in meeting a payroll and working within a budget and knows firsthand how overregulation and intrusion by the government can and will hamper small business owners and their efforts to provide jobs and stimulate the economy. He understands what it is like to have employees depending on the small business for which they work to feed and otherwise provide for their family's needs. Andrew is a registered gun owner, a member of the National Rifle Association, and is a strong defender of our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. He is 100% pro-life. As a product of the public school system himself from kindergarten through college and with a child in the public schools of our district, he is a staunch advocate for helping to improve our public schools and supporting our educators to provide for the best possible education and future for our children. As our state representative in Tennessee House District 17, Andrew is your voice from your house to the statehouse. |
